Reliable for frequent travel

This is my third year with Priority Pass, and I just renewed my Standard Plus Membership. I originally bought it during a Black Friday deal. The consistency is what keeps me coming back; I know what to expect. This time, I used it at the Minute Suites in Charlotte and it was a lifesaver during a long layover. My only minor issue was that the app sometimes logs me out automatically, which is a small hassle when trying to quickly access my card. Still, it's a solid service and a staple for my business trips.

Membership and lounge experience detailed

I purchased the Prestige Membership during their annual sale. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, and I received the digital membership card almost instantly, which was great for immediate use. My physical card arrived within 7 business days, which felt a little long. I used it at the Plaza Premium Lounge in Toronto and a smaller lounge in Austin. Both experiences were excellent, with comfortable seating and complimentary food and drinks. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about guest passes, though their online FAQ didn't cover my specific scenario. The value for money is definitely there if you travel frequently, although some lounges can get quite crowded during peak times.

Consistent lounge access

I renewed my Standard Plus Membership last month, which I've done for the past three years. It's still a solid value, especially when I travel for work a lot. The process was smooth again, just like before. I noticed the app has improved a bit, but finding specific lounges can still be a bit clunky sometimes. Overall, it's reliable for airport lounges.

Good lounge access

I got the Standard Plus Membership a few months back for a trip. It was super easy to sign up online. Used it at DFW and it was pretty nice to chill before my flight. The app was a bit slow to load my digital card sometimes, but overall, it made travel a lot less stressful. Worth it if you fly a few times a year.

Quick access, slight app bug

Got the Standard Membership. Used it at an airport restaurant. It worked well. App was a little buggy during activation. Easy to find lounges. Good for a quick stop.

Good value for travel

I finally got a Standard Membership this spring, after looking at it for a while. I caught a decent discount during their annual sale, which made me pull the trigger. I used it twice already for Airport Lounge Access and it saved me a fair bit compared to buying day passes. The digital membership card worked fine, but getting the physical card took 7 days to reach me in California, which was a little slow. Still, felt worth it for the price.

Decent value, but watch the crowds

I opted for the Standard Membership during their renewal discount. Signing up was simple enough, and the digital card was handy right away. I used it at a lounge in Miami, and while the facilities were good, it was extremely busy, which detracted from the relaxing experience I hoped for. The included food and drinks were a nice touch. Customer service was helpful when I called about a billing question. For the price, it's a good deal, but they could improve on indicating lounge capacity in the app.

Does the annual sale actually make a big difference? Or should I just buy it now if I need it for a trip next month?

A Abigail W. 4 weeks ago
The Black Friday sale is usually the biggest, like 40% off sometimes. Other annual sales are more like 10-25%. If your trip is next month, you might miss any bigger sales, so check current offers.

Depends on the tier you want. The higher tiers sometimes have better discounts percentage-wise during big sales, but even a small discount is better than none.

Is the digital card thing reliable? I don't want to get to the lounge and find out my phone isn't good enough.

M Megan H. 1 month ago
Used it dozens of times, never had an issue. Just make sure your app is updated and you're logged in before you get to the desk, some airports have spotty reception.

Totally reliable. They just scan a QR code from your phone. I haven't carried the physical card in years.

Thinking of getting the Prestige membership, but wondering if it's actually worth it if I only fly like 4-5 times a year? Or should I just stick with the Standard Plus?

B Brandon Allen 3 weeks ago
Honestly, for 4-5 trips, Standard Plus might be better. Prestige only makes sense if you're hitting lounges almost every trip or have long layovers. The per-visit fee for Standard Plus adds up but might still be less than the Prestige annual fee if you're not a super frequent flyer.

A Amanda Scott 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I have the Standard Plus and it's fine for me. I usually only go to a lounge if I have a long delay or a super early flight, so paying per visit works out cheaper for my travel habits.

Is Priority Pass actually legit? I keep seeing these ads but it almost sounds too good to be true, all those lounges for one membership?

A Alex Taylor 1 month ago
100% legit. Been using mine for years, never had an issue getting into a lounge or redeeming benefits. It's a real company.

K Kyle White 1 month ago
Totally. It's owned by Collinson Group, which is a big travel benefits company. It's not some sketchy fly-by-night operation if that's what you're worried about.

How long does it take to get the actual physical card? I'm flying out in about 2 weeks and trying to figure out if I need to rely on the digital one.

J James Thompson 1 month ago
Mine took about a week and a half to arrive in the mail when I first signed up. You can use the digital card though, pretty much all lounges accept it now via the app.
4
B Brittany Wright 1 month ago
I think it's usually 7-10 business days for the card. For two weeks out, you might get it, but the digital one is super easy to use, just show your phone at reception.

Anyone know if Priority Pass usually has a Black Friday sale? I'm holding off buying a membership right now hoping for a good deal.

A Abigail W. 3 weeks ago
Yeah they totally do! I got my Prestige membership like 2 years ago during their Black Friday thing, it was a pretty sweet discount.

E Ella 2 weeks ago
They almost always have something for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I've seen it go up to 40% off the annual fee sometimes. Definitely worth waiting a bit if you can.

Anyone know if Priority Pass has any student discounts? Trying to save some cash while traveling for breaks.

N Nancy Sanchez 1 month ago
I haven't seen a specific student discount mentioned recently, but they do sometimes have general promo codes that can apply to anyone. Keep an eye out around Black Friday or summer.
5
A Andrew Garcia 1 month ago
Not that I'm aware of for students directly. Sometimes credit cards like Amex or Chase offer it as a perk, so check if any cards you already have include it.

Hey, thinking about getting Priority Pass for my trips. Is it really worth it if I only fly like 3-4 times a year? Or is it more for super frequent flyers?

A Amanda Scott 4 weeks ago
Nah, I don't think it's really worth it for just a few trips. The per-visit fee for the Standard membership can add up fast, or you're paying a lot for the higher tiers if you're not using it much. Better off just buying a day pass if a lounge looks good.
3
G Grace M. 4 weeks ago
It depends! If those 3-4 trips are long-haul and you have really long layovers, even the Standard Plus might make sense. Being able to chill in a lounge for hours beats gate-sitting. But for quick domestic hops? Probably not.
